Reminder: Interplayers Benefit Show This Week

Interplayers would like to remind you of a special benefit this Thursday,October 5th, 8:00pm and Friday October 6th, 8:00pm from the creative minds of Esta & William Rosevear.

Good Morning World
How Are You?

A Look at Today's World Through Yesterday's Eyes

Here's what the Rosevears have to say about this project:

A view of today’s world through the eyes of Mark Twain and Will Rogers and a cautionary tale, The Last Flower, by James Thurber. These stories and quips shall enlighten audiences as to the timelessness of the worries and woes of our world.  A multi-media presentation of images, light, and sound leading to a culmination of Thurber’s, The Last Flower. E.B. White says it best, 'In it you will find his faith in the renewal of life, his feeling for the beauty and fragility of life on earth.'

We chose this topic because many people complain about the world going to hell in a handbasket, gas prices, everything.  What people have forgotten, is that this has been going on since time began.  How we get through these times is through humor, honesty, and just plain persevering.  Twain, Rogers and Thurber understood this.  We hope this will help people to remember.

Interplayers is delighted the Rosevears have offered to put on this benefit for the theatre, which will be their debut artistic creation in Spokane.  The Rosevears worked previously in Arizona as theatre instructors and directors and owned their own theatre company called "The Oasis Center for the Arts/The Oasis Theatre Company."

The production features: Maynard Villers, Tony Caprile, Jaime Mathis, and Dan Anderson.

Performance times will be at 8:00pm.  Tickets are $15 regular, $12 for season subscribers, and $10 for students. All proceeds benefit Interplayers Theatre. Call (509) 455-PLAY, (800) 325-SEAT, or purchase tickets online at www.ticketswest.com.
