Spotlight Update

Jamey Cunningham has been in Graphic design for over 15 years and the Visual arts for more than that. His graphic works grace the sides of buildings such as the Spokane Arena, Avista Stadium, McCarthy Stadium, The Spokane Opera House, etc…

My art process

I draw hundreds of drawings with pencil and eraser.  Some get finished and if I like it enough I will outline it with a black pen. The few that make it through this process are either lost, put away in a notebook or they may find their way to the scanner to be digitized.  If a drawing is lucky enough to enter the digital world it will also enter the world of color and light which takes anywhere from a month to a year off and on depending on my schedule.  After a digitized and colorized drawing is finished it is put through small printer tests to look for funky areas or colors.  After this is done the final piece is scaled to a larger size and printed straight to the material using a large high-tech printer.  The canvas is then wrapped around a frame just like a normal painting.
